Duck Hill Road starts at the intersection of East Lake Blvd and for its first 2/3 of a mile cuts across Nevada State Parks land.
For reasons that are unclear, the Duck Hills “HOA” believes that the road easement from Nevada State Parks listed below is not valid. Why they choose to ignore this document without providing evidence to the contrary remains a mystery. One explanation is that it does not allow for a gate and delegates the road maintenance responsibility to the community. Those facts run counter to what certain individuals want to do, and I suspect they are looking for a way to change this perfectly valid and reasonable easement agreement. This is a short and simple read with little legalise in the way. Look at page #2 section 3 specifically, it’s very clear and unambiguous that we are responsible for the road maintenance and that it be kept open to the public as part of the agreement.

Here is an example of what occurred on the non-maintained section of Duck Hill Road in 2011. While the driver was at fault all homeowners were lucky that action was not taken for the road being a contributing factor……VERY LUCKY!
